Affiliate disclosure
This document is a draft pending legal review.
Thecasinopick earns money from affiliate commission. This page explains exactly how that works and what it does not affect.
How we earn
When you click a link to a casino on this site and go on to open an account, the operator or its affiliate network may pay us a commission. That may be a one-off payment, a share of revenue, or both, depending on the agreement.
It costs you nothing and it does not change the offer you receive. You are dealing with the operator on exactly the terms you would have had by typing its address into your browser.
How links are marked
Commercial links carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and open in a new tab, and the pages they appear on carry a visible affiliate notice. We do not disguise commercial links as editorial ones.
What commission does not buy
- It does not buy a place on our list
- It does not buy a rating, a ranking or a favourable verdict
- It does not buy the removal of a criticism
- It does not give an operator sight of a review before publication
Managing the conflict honestly
There is an inherent tension between earning commission and telling you when not to claim an offer. We manage it by publishing the reasoning behind every score, by leaving out commercial figures we cannot source rather than guessing, and by only listing casinos we can defend line by line.
If you think a page reads as though commission influenced it, tell us. That is a correction we want to make.
Frequently asked questions
Do you review casinos you have no commercial deal with?
Yes, where they meet the licensing test. A commercial relationship is not a condition of coverage.
Can I avoid the affiliate link?
Of course. Type the operator's address into your browser directly — our review is just as useful either way.
