PayPal is the most common e-wallet at UK-licensed casinos and generally the fastest way to get a withdrawal back out. Your card details stay with PayPal rather than the operator.

You normally need the PayPal account to be in your own name and verified, and to have deposited with it before you can withdraw to it.

PayPal blocks gambling transactions funded by credit card in the UK, which keeps you the right side of the credit-card ban without thinking about it.

PayPal and the closed loop

UK casinos pay withdrawals back to the method you deposited with wherever they can, a rule known as the closed loop. With PayPal that works in your favour: deposit with PayPal and your withdrawals can go straight back to it, where the money is available in your PayPal balance or can be moved to your bank.

PayPal only works with gambling operators licensed in approved markets, so seeing PayPal at the cashier is a small extra sign that you are on a licensed site. It is accepted at every casino we currently review.

Frequently asked questions

Are PayPal casino withdrawals instant?

Not quite, but they are usually among the fastest. Once the casino approves the withdrawal, PayPal payouts typically arrive quicker than card withdrawals. The casino's own processing and any verification checks come first.

Can I claim a welcome bonus with PayPal?

At the casinos we review, PayPal deposits are not excluded from the current welcome offers. Always check the offer terms, as exclusions change.

Can I withdraw to PayPal if I deposited by card?

Usually not straight away. Under the closed-loop rule, withdrawals normally go back to the deposit method first. Add and deposit with PayPal if you want payouts to go there.
